Costa Rica Packing List

Passport (valid for at least 6 months after the date you are leaving CR) and Identification, plus one paper copy or photo made of your passport (VERY handy if you lose the original in a foreign country)

Airline tickets and boarding passes

Car/House keys

Any medications, prescription eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medical contact information

Health insurance card

Sunscreen and other skin care products such as aloe vera

Electronics (OPTIONAL!): mobile phone, camera, tablet, earphones, etc.

Sports watch / GPS if you regularly train with them

Power cords and chargers

Any custom nutritional products; supplements; vitamins

Compression socks or sleeves (particularly useful for flights)

Bike with bike case and wheel bag (if you are not renting)

Bike Renters please bring: your pedals, shoes, helmet and if you wish, your saddle

Bringing your own bike? Don't forget your helmet, shoes, pedals, bottle cage(s), Allen wrench, aero-drink system if you use this regularly in training

Cycling visor or sunglasses

Cycling apparel: shorts and tops; bibs; jerseys

Swim essentials: swimsuit or triathlon suit, swim goggles, swim cap; nose/ear plugs if you use them regularly

Run essentials: running shoes, a few pair of socks, running sunglasses, hat or visor

Running shorts and short-sleeved or sleeveless tops

Post-workout footwear; sandals, flip flops, etc.

Casual clothing for our dinners

Small bills and a credit card for incidental purchases (Note: Costa Rica accepts local Colones and USD $20 or less at most places. Credit cards are also accepted most everywhere for your convenience.)
